HISTORY:

 

A.          THIS IS A STREET LEGAL CAR!

B.          The car was purchased from Dr. Sam Wang by the present owner in 1978 in California and was taken to Washington State in 1989. It was transported (via of trailer) to Phoenix AZ. (11/2007)then to Nebraska in April of 2008. It has always been garaged in California, Washington and now Nebraska. I am the third owner.

C.          The motor was modified from a 2.0 ltr.to a 2.4 S ltr (2.4 crank, 2.4 rods, 2.2 S p&c’s and an S distributor) in 1976 by Peter Zimmermann) owner of Red Line Porsche in Santa Monica.

D.          In 1983 the transmission was replaced and converted from a tail shifter to a side shifter along with installing a LSD.

E.          Front adjustable sway bar (thru chassis under gas tank).

F.           In 1986 a front mounted oil cooler was installed using aero quip thru the rocker panels, a factory thermostat and re-routing with aero quip all lines to and from the motor. This is NOT using the sandwich plate on the oil filter, but the proper way to add a oil cooler.

G.          In 1991 the car was completely up-dated (milage:109,700):

                            (9)         Installed late model Oil temp/pressure gauge

                            (10)       New rear wheel bearings

                            (11)       Installed turbo tie rods

                            (12)       Installed MOMO steering wheel

                            (13)       Installed modified driver seat

                            (14)       Installed alarm system

                            (15)       Installed Alpine stereo Cassette and speakers

                            (16)       Rolled front and rear fenders to accommodate larger 7" wheels

(2). Engine (completely rebuild by Chris Powell in Bellevue WA. Chris was the former chief mechanic for Bruce Leven’s 935's and 962's race team before starting his own Porsche shop-- Chris’s German Auto--)(1)New main bearings

                            (4)         New rod bolts

                            (5)         New 2.2 S p&c’s

                            (6)         Complete head and valve work including race springs

                            (7)         Re-ground cams to E sport

                            (8)         Carrera valve covers

                            (9)         New S clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing

                            (10)       Installed HPV-1 Electromotive Crank-fire ignition system

                            (11)       Updated cam tensioners to late hydraulics

                            (12)       Installed new MOROSO (High temp/High voltage) spark wires

                            (13)       Installed new WEBER 40 IDA Carbs

                            (14)       Installed K&N filters

                            (15)       Installed European GEORGE headers

 

B.          Car was stored in a heated garage in 1991 and not removed until November of 2007. It was stared a few times, but not driven.

C.          When car was removed from storage in November 2007 and transported to Phoenix AZ, the following work was performed:

              (1).        Gas tank removed and cleaned

              (2).        Replaced all fuel lines and filter

              (3). Changed oil and oil filter

              (4).        Carburetors cleaned and adjusted

 

Car was returned to trailer and transported to Fremont Nebraska in April 2008

 

D.          After arrival in Fremont NE, the following work was performed:            

              (1).        Replaced front wheel bearings

              (2).        Rebuilt all four calipers. Front’s with all new stainless steel pistons

              (3).        All rotors were inspected and are in excellent condition

              (4).        Installed all new brake pads on all four calipers

              (5).        Changed transmission fluid with SWEPCO 201

              (6).        Changed drive line seals

              (7). Rebuilt shift mechanism including new bushings

(8). Had the two rocker panels and rear valance re-worked and painted with rock guard black paint

(9). Added new passenger side rear view mirror original style





 

E.          NO RUST on Chassis.

F.           Includes original tool kit and owners manual.

G.          There is NO spare tire.

H.          Since there are headers, there is no heat.

I.            Wheels are 7" cookie cutters with 225/50 Z15 Bridgestones tires.

J.           Please note that there is after market air dam.

K.          Miles on chassis: 110,788 (1 September 2008).

L.          On a scale of 1 - 10, this car is an 8+.
